With over three decades of distinguished legal experience, Hugh Marshall Jnr. has played a leading role in shaping the litigation landscape of Antigua and Barbuda and the wider Eastern Caribbean. As Head of Chambers at Marshall & Co., he is recognised for his strategic advocacy, courtroom presence, and unwavering commitment to achieving results for his clients.

 

Hugh has appeared in numerous high-profile and precedent setting matters before the High Court, the Court of Appeal, the Industrial Court, and the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council. His practice spans complex civil and commercial litigation, constitutional and administrative law, land and property disputes, employment and industrial relations matters, judicial review proceedings, and appellate advocacy.  

 

Throughout his career, Hugh has represented individuals, corporations, financial institutions, public bodies, and government entities in matters involving significant legal and commercial importance. He is particularly respected for his ability to navigate difficult and multifaceted disputes with precision, creativity, and a deep command of advocacy and legal procedure.

ATTORNEY-AT-LAW

Chantal A. Marshall brings a broad and well-rounded perspective to her practice, having established her legal career in general litigation before transitioning to commercial law.

 

Her early practice encompassed a wide range of civil matters, including contract, tort, constitutional, employment, family, and property disputes, providing her with extensive advocacy experience and a strong foundation in dispute resolution. Building on that experience, she now focuses primarily on corporate and commercial law, banking and finance, debt recovery, real estate and conveyancing, probate and estate administration, and commercial litigation.

 

Chantal advises and represents financial institutions, businesses, and private clients in both contentious and non-contentious matters, delivering practical legal solutions tailored to their objectives. She has appeared before the High Court and Court of Appeal and is recognised for her meticulous preparation, strategic thinking, and client-focused approach.

Jonathan Marshall

JUNIOR ASSOCIATE

Jonathan Marshall is a Junior Associate at Marshall & Co. whose practice is focused primarily on civil litigation, employment and labour matters, commercial disputes, and court advocacy. As part of the firm’s litigation team, he regularly assists in the preparation and conduct of matters before the High Court and the Industrial Court of Antigua and Barbuda.

 

Jonathan has experience handling a wide range of contentious matters, including contractual disputes, personal injury claims, employment disputes, injunction applications, and interlocutory matters requiring urgent relief. He is recognised for his analytical approach, attention to detail, and thorough preparation of pleadings, witness statements, submissions, and legal research.

 

He works closely with senior attorneys within Chambers on complex and high-value disputes while also managing matters with professionalism, responsiveness, and strategic focus. His practice places particular emphasis on procedural precision, effective advocacy, and careful case preparation across all stages of litigation.
